Beginning his career in the family jewelry business in New Delhi India, Akshay developed and coordinated alternative market channels that lead to new product development and 15% increased market share. Demonstrating initiative from the start, Akshay pioneered sales, account management, jewelry buying, vendor relations, customer relationships and marketing in the Overland Park, Kansas area. Quickly distinguishing himself as a leader, Akshay earned fast-track respect from Family, Customers and Community Leaders of Kansas City.

Most recently, Akshay was challenged with reorganizing Karats Jewelers marketing strategy and vendor relations as market and economic conditions change rapidly within the U.S. Akshay is also credited as the visionary and leader behind an aggressive plan that in more than doubled Karats Fine Jewelry’s inventory and annual revenue in two years.
Prior to this, as Mahalaxmi Amba Jewelers US sales representative while studying for his bachelors, Akshay surpassed his sales & growth targets by 80 % while gaining more market share for the Indian jewelry market in the United States. Akshay created strategic relationships with Retail stores across the nation that would buy directly through the parent company in India resulting in ever increasing sales till today.
Akshay is a proud Anand family member who has branched out to make his own path in the United States through his hard work, leadership and the want to make a difference in the world he lives in has made him an honorable man that people look up to. Akshay currently reside in Gardner, KS and operate a beautiful high end jewelry store in Overland Park, KS.
Akshay earned his Bachelor of Science degree, Marketing and Management with a Computer Science minor, from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri in 2005 and completed the Gemological Institute of America’s Graduate Gemologist Program in 2000.
